The British Prime Minister has made changes to his ministerial team, including that at the Ministry of Defence.

Nick Harvey MP, Minister for the Armed Forces, has left the Government, and has had a knighthood conferred upon him..
Peter Luff MP, Minister for Defence Procurement, has left the Government and will stand down as an MP at the next General Election

Rt Hon Andrew Robathan MP has been promoted to Minister for the Armed Forces from Minister for Veterans. There's a cracking photograph of him HERE

Gerald Howarth MP, Minister for International Security, has left the Government, and has had a knighthood conferred upon him.

Philip Dunne MP becomes Under Secretary of State for Defence. He was previously a Governemnt whip, and has business but no military experience. He will be the new Minister for Defence Procurement.

Rt Hon Mark Francois MP has been appointed a Minister of State for  International Security Strategy. He was previously a Whip responsible for defence issues.

Dr Andrew Murrison MP  has been appointed Under Secretary of State for Defence. It is probable (although not yet announced) that he will be Minister for Veterans. However, Lord Ashcroft has been appointed as the Prime Minister's "special representative for veterans' transition", although it has been stressed this is not a ministerial position.

Helen Grant MP, who had been a deputy convenor within the All Party Group for the Armed Forces, is the first MP from the 2010 intake to be announced as a minister - at the Department of Justice, also speaking on women's issues

Mark Lancaster MP has been appointed a junior whip

Baroness Garden (Sue) will support Lord Astor of Hever, unpaid Under Secretary of State for Defence in the Lords.
