In the interests of reducing administrative costs and to speed the news flow, the Public Accounts Committee of the House of Commons (PAC) has issued the following generic news release in respect of UK Ministry of Defence procurement.
In future a simple text will be sent to enable journalists to fill in the blanks and make appropriate deletions.
Today the PAC criticised the MoD's handling of the _________ programme, attacking time overruns/cost overruns/poorly-specified equipment/the management of the project [delete as appropriate].
As a result the project will cost an addition £_____m pounds and will be delayed by ___ years.
PAC chairman Edward Leigh said: 'They couldn't organise a _______ in a
__________.'
